"Every yoga practice reaches its arms into elemental realms. Aerial Yoga is no exception. Whether new to this style of yoga or a wisened practitioner, this session will focus on the ways aerial yoga grounds our feet to the Earth, moves the liquid of our bodies, and opens our hearts to the sky. Air, space, water, fire, and matter become the intention behind each movement.

Grounded in the traditions of Hatha Yoga, we will first explore the foundations of aerial yoga postures, where the hammock becomes a partner in assisting body and breath movement, in forward folds, arm balances, twists, standing balances, inversions, and reclined positions.

Then we will find aerial hammock locks and support for finding elemental depth in our stretches, elongation in our muscles, opening in our hearts, decompression in our spines, and rejuvenation in our Souls.

Whether the feet reside on the earth or in the sky, we’ll notice how each aerial yoga expression becomes a bridge to where the sky and earth meet inviting us into our foundation. No experience is necessary.
